by jwundubbed ini found out recently that michelangelo's painting of adam on the sistine chapel depicts him without a belly button.
i had never noticed this before and it makes sense that neither adam nor eve would have belly buttons, not having been born in the usual way.
then i realized all the first animals were created rather than born, according to the religious views of the origin of life.

I think Watchtower is far more evil than many people believe. Having attended a bible-believing Christian church for the past 20 years, I can personally compare. It has really opened my eyes to the way I was raised. I think the WT is a master in the art of auto-suggestion.
Psychology Today says this:The power of suggestion is very powerful indeed; if I say, “Don’t think of a red apple.” you are going to think of a red apple anyway, even if it is just the momentary flash of an image in your brain. And, when our subconscious mind is exposed to a constantly repeated message, it is going to penetrate unless we are paying attention.
One of the keys to effective auto suggestion tenchiques is being in a relaxed, "safe" place. The Kingdom Hall was such a place, so we thought.
This is an excerpt from Young People Ask book by Watchtower. Under the heading: HOW FAR IS TOO FAR?:
"However, a dating couple must exercise extreme caution. Kissing, embracing, or doing anything that causes arousal can lead to sexual misconduct. It’s all too easy, even for a couple with honorable intentions, to get carried away and engage in sexual immorality.
● A couple who refrain from sexual intercourse can still be guilty of fornication.
True. The original Greek word translated “fornication” (por·neiʹa) has a broad meaning. It describes all forms of sexual relations outside of marriage and focuses on the misuse of the sexual organs. Thus, fornication includes not only intercourse but also acts such as masturbating another person, as well as engaging in oral sex or anal sex".
Look at all the detail. Total cringe.

Most of the kids who grew up JW learned about all sorts of sex stuff at the Kingdom Hall..... all condemned of course. But, available to even the youngest little kids.
None of this stuff would be presented in a Christian Church. How about the missionary exibitionist story below? It's not normal.

Why does 'one' do a search about that to begin with?
Because having been out for 25 years and raised two boys without any JW influence whatsoever, it makes me think back as how I was raised on a Watchtower diet. So many things that the WT printed were totally inappropriate to expose little kids to.
It was irresponsible at a minimum, diabolical at its worst. -

I don't know why you started another thread virtually identical to the one I started on Jesus being an angel.Anyway, lets say that you can find enough "evidence" to satisfy yourself that Jesus is only a created angel. What have you succeeded in doing? Either you break God's law by letting a spirit into your being to guide you, or you don't belong to Christ... our Savior.

I can't see an upside to your position. It doesn't make any sense. Why would you go way out of your way to put yourself in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" scenario?What kind of logical reasoning could drive a person to damn themselves? Please explain.
